Upcoming Event: Unlikely Heroes Justice Ball

Attention LA Fashionistas, make sure you get your tickets to the Unlikely Heroes Justice Ball . The stylish event will be held at Boulevard 3 in Hollywood tomorrow Tuesday September 24th 8pm-12am. Not only is this an excuse to wear your fabulous formal attire, it's also benefiting the extraordinary cause of ending child-sex slavery. Unlikely Heroes provides safe homes and restoration services for children victims of human trafficking and sex slavery. Tickets can be purchased here for $35. A Gathered Event: Loop Salon Launch in ATL

Happy Friday Fashionistas! Today we've got the scoop on the gathered event of the weekend for our ATLiens... it's all about Loop Salon and their grand opening on Sunday, baby, with events from 2-6 pm. ATL Fashionistas... Don't Miss All Hail the Queens!

A Gathered Event: Fashion Week New Orleans March 20-24, 2013

Calling all gathered ladies: Fashion Week New Orleans has rolled out red carpets and runways in the Big Easy from March 20-24! Featuring top local designers, a design competition, parties, and of course nightly fashion shows, any true Nola fashionista must make an appearance. However... for those of you that couldn't make it, have no fear: The Gathered Lady was on the scene at the launch party, held at the W hotel rooftop pool.  

The night was young, the breeze was cool, and the looks were hot! Top trends were in evidence -- vintage 50s prints, spring colors, electric accents, sequined pants, and slick red lips. Hot accessories also ruled the night. Everything from goggles to snoods were rocked with confidence and abandon. Many of these items were handmade merchandise on preview for the runway or on sale during the trunk shows. I'll admit it. I was shopping the crowd for outfits. I took advantage of the makeup artists applying glitter lips -- in fact, I found my my night lip for the summer. I left totally inspired!

Upcoming Event: J*Davey Concert

This is most definitely a band you need to know about. If you don't, glad we're the first to put you on their sound. These two create ART for your ears. And lucky you, they are coming to LA for a concert. Best part? Tickets are only $10 if you buy presale ($12 at door).  I'd check it out since they sound great in person and it will be a fairly intimate setting. Good for mingling with others who have excellent music taste.

Their sound is pretty unique, a hypnotic mix of  alternative, jazz, Hip-Hop, electronica, funk, afro-punk, new wave, futurism, soul, and alternative R&B. Yeah, all of those elements squeezed in for masterpieces. Check out the video link below of one of their new releases Quicksand.
