Omg, the value of the chafing cream CANNOT be underestimated!!! I once brought some to a summer wedding I was in and barely had enough left for my thick thighs after the bride + wedding party jacked the stuff. So awesome :)
Some things I'd like to nominate:
1) Fashion tape! It's basically as versatile as safety pins but nicer to your clothes.
2) Bobby pins/hair elastic! For the longer haired sistas when the event gets to hot and you're sweating out your perm/press/blowout.
